Selling Heavy Equipment “Online”: How It Works

Online sales on TIRkomis are conducted on a commission basis, whereby the commercial vehicles remain with the owner, and listings are posted on the website and on the Telegram channel.
This option is suitable if the vehicle is still operational or located far from Rivne. For broader promotion, it can be brought to the lot: the owner receives a parking space free of charge, advertising on social media, and in-person showings for buyers.
How Online Sales Work
The process consists of five stages:
- Assessment. The owner provides the vehicle’s specifications, VIN, mileage, VAT information, repair history, and condition.
- Terms. The parties agree on the price, negotiation, inspections, and payment.
- Listing. The manager verifies the data, prepares a description, and advises the seller on how to take photos in accordance with the rules for preparing vehicles for sale.
- Publication. Vehicles are listed on the TIRkomis website and on the Telegram channel. Other social media platforms are not included in this process.
- Sale. The manager schedules an inspection, after which the parties agree on the final price and complete the transfer of ownership.
Documents for vehicle re-registration are determined by the State Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. An individual selling a truck, bus, or trailer through a dealership needs an appraisal report.
What to Check During an Inspection
A roadworthiness inspection does not replace a diagnostic check. During a 30-minute inspection of a used truck, you should assess:
- the engine, transmission, frame, suspension, and brakes;
